Change Your Environment and Find A New Set of Friends

One of my all-time favorite sayings goes:

"Show me your friends and I'll tell you what person you are."

I know you have probably heard this statement more times than you would care to remember. But, do you truly believe in the power of this statement?

Trust me, this is one of the most powerful statements you'll ever hear.

Do you know why?

It underscores the immense power that friends have in your life.

Whether you believe it or not, your friends influence your lifestyle, decisions, and your mindset.

But, above all, they influence your destiny and success.

As an individual, I learned to socialize early in life. I made friends with individuals from all walks of life. However, I have never ever allowed my friends to influence me against my will.

In fact, I have had the courage to cut ties from bad friends (the ones I felt have a negative influence in my life) and move into a new environment without caring what they'd say.

It wasn't an easy decision for me to move from Michigan to North Carolina in 2008. I had a special connection with Michigan, it's where I built my first home.

But I had to go.

Listen, I didn't hate or have a personal vendetta against any of my friends. I wanted to progress in life, and that's why I had to move away.

So, what am I driving at?

If you stick around bad friends, they will pull you down, but if you stick around good friends, they will build you up. As iron sharpens iron, so do good friends sharpen each other.

Yes, good friends will see your potential and help you nurture it. They will admonish you and stand with you throughout the journey of life.

To be honest, I don't really know what would have happened to me had I stuck longer in Michigan. Who knows?

I would have sunk into depression and lost focus in life, or my family or friends would have talked me out of the idea of venturing into online marketing.

But, I am grateful they didn't.

Now, I don't know who your friends are or what they have been talking to you. But one thing I am sure of is that you need to be bold enough to cut ties and move away from your negative friends.

Bad friends will give you a thousand and one reasons why your business will fail. They discourage you from venturing into a home-based business or moving out of your home.

Just so that you know, every time you allow friends to influence your decisions, you are inching closer to their fate. I wouldn't lie to you, bad friends will never want you to succeed and be happy. I have walked this path and I am certain of what I am talking about.

Surely, you cannot afford to put your life, your decisions and your happiness in the hands of bad friends, would you? I hope and pray you will have the strength, courage, and wisdom to move out and start pursuing your dreams in life.

Make a bold decision to break away from your past, your negative friends, and environment, and your life will change for the good.

Dedicated to your success,

Miss Carla
